20 Vintage Photos Of Jeeps Rocking The Decades That Get Us ALL The Ducks

Modern Jeeps are farther from their roots than ever before and Jeep lovers deserve more.

In 1942, Willys-Overland Motors won a government contract to mass produce America's vehicle of World War II, the Jeep. The Jeep was cheap to produce, durable, and simple to fix on the fly.

Jeep continued to produce durable, all terrain focused vehicles after the war, and to this day you'd be hard pressed to find a more capable off-roader. But that's where the compliments end.

Thanks to mismanagement by Jeep's modern parent company Stellantis, Jeeps are more expensive, less reliable, and farther from their roots than ever before. Just ask J.D. Power, which graded Jeep as just "Industry Average" in its 2024 Vehicle Dependability Study, a significant improvement on recent rankings.

Jeep lovers deserve more. They deserve what Jeeps used to be.

So as a reminder of what Jeep can be, here are 20 vintage photos of Jeeps rocking the decades.
